We just completed a year long project of building a cord wood sauna. It has been such a gift to slip into a hot sauna after a long day manufacturing, gardening, and chasing after a 2 year old. Many cultures know the health giving benefits that heat and then a cold plunge can provide. It helps to awaken the senses, stimulates circulation to extremeties and stengthens the immune system. We always sleep so deeply afterward too! This soap has become a favorite and a way to savor the cedar and birch wood energy contained within our sauna. The bar is swirls of dark brown and white-kind of like the extremes of high heat and icy water. Soothing...earthy...warm.
