This isn’t the kind of news we love to share, but it feels important to bring you into the loop with honesty and heart: our beloved Prickly Pear Serum won’t be returning this summer.

We know how much this little bottle of desert magic means to so many of you. It’s one of our most asked-about creations, the kind of product that vanishes from shelves almost as quickly as it arrives. Every summer, we await its return with the same joy and anticipation that you do. But this year, nature had other plans.

A Challenging Harvest Year

A worldwide prickly pear seed harvest issue has made it impossible to source the oil in the way we need it: fresh, potent, ethically harvested, and of the highest quality. And while we’re heartbroken to miss this season, we won’t make something that isn’t up to the standards your skin, and our values, deserve.

We never cut corners. Every Wild Carrot creation is made by hand, with reverence. With time, not shortcuts. Because we believe skin knows the difference.

Honoring Nature’s Rhythm

We live in a human world that craves consistency. But the natural world doesn’t work that way. She’s shaped by the sun and the soil, by the bees, the rain, the unseen microbial life beneath our feet. Her rhythm is wild, intuitive, and ever-changing.

Sometimes, that means a plant doesn’t thrive in the way it did the year before. It’s inconvenient, and it’s also beautiful. Because that unpredictability is a sign of life. Of mystery. Of a living world that can’t be forced into sameness.

And so, there will be no Prickly Pear Serum this summer. But we believe that makes its return, hopefully next spring after the September harvest, all the more sacred.
