Many commercial sunscreens use chemicals that should be a cause for concern (linked here). As a safe, plant-based sunscreen and a hydrating, nourishing alternative to use before and/or after sun exposure, we offer our Sun Salutation Facial Serum. All plant oils contain inherent UVA & UVB protective properties and we use three of the best in this serum: red raspberry, avocado, and sea buckthorn. The first two oils offer SPF's ranging from 28-50 (red raspberry) to 14 (avocado). Sea buckthorn oil, while at a lower SPF, is renowned for reducing the damaging effects of the sun's radiation on a cellular level, making it a reparative ally when you've had a solar over-indulgence. We've added two infused oils to this serum for their analgesic, protective, anti-inflammatory and skin-soothing properties; poplar (cottonwood) bud and St. John's Wort both bring a wealth of botanical benefit. As a final touch, this rich serum is scented with lavender and myrrh essential oils, a blessing of soothing divinity for your time under the golden orb.

I went on two trail maintenance workdays in the Imnaha canyon this spring. To my face, neck, ears the one day I applied Sun Salutaion serum, the other day the Rosehip and Raspberry serum, before leaving and upon returning home. I am of Swiss German decent and prone to bad burns. At the end of both days my face was warm and red but not painful. The next day it was lightly colored but certainly not what I've historically experienced. I did not reapply during both 9-10 hour days, though maybe I should have for long term skin health. It was startling, and wonderful.
We often just put this on after we get to much sun. It relieves the discomfort and we normally end up with no peeling.
This is my favorite product of all time that I put on my body. It is so gorgeous on my skin and I LOVE having an all natural sun block on. It has never given me breakouts. It is glorious and glowing.
The best natural sun care. I can’t go without it. It’s perfect for my sensitive skin, nourishing and goes on under makeup well.
I’ve been using this serum for far too long to remember, however, it feels great on the skin. I am not keen on the claims that this product protects from the sun, so I pair this product up with an SPF 50 zinc oxide sunscreen. Generally, I wear this at night after a day in the great outdoors. I truly wish that Wild Carrot would formulate a moisturizer with zinc oxide in order to offer true sun protection. Hopefully, this is an item that Wild Carrot is working on. Great feel, great fragrance, great results with this serum!
